Divisions, venues and match nights
A league's season is made of divisions, the places matches are played, and the nights they're played on. All of it is set up from the League admin panel.
Divisions
Each division has its own table and its own fixtures, and everyone in it plays each other. Add them on Divisions: give each a name and a Tier (1 is the top), and if you like a cap on how many can be in it. When a division is full, new entrants can wait on a waitlist; see Transfers, suspensions and waitlists.
On the Free plan a league has one division.
Venues and boards
On Venues, add the places your league plays and what's in each one: the boards, tables, pitches or courts. You can also ask to use a venue another league or club has listed; its owner approves the request from their side.
If a venue can't be used on certain days (a private function, a bank holiday), record those dates against it and no fixtures will be put there on them.
Home venues
On Venue assignments, give each team its home board or table for the season. Fixtures are then played at the home side's venue, and the app warns you if two matches would be on the same board at the same time.
Home venues are optional. Without them, fixtures are made without a place, and you can add one to any fixture later.
Match night start times
Under Settings, Match night start times says when matches start. Most leagues play every match at the same time. If your venue runs matches back to back on the same board, add another start time.
With one start time a board holds one match a night, so two teams can share it: one at home while the other is away. Each extra start time lets two more teams share it. Start times need to be at least a match apart.
Making the fixtures
While the season is still a draft, press Generate fixtures on its dashboard. Everyone in a division plays each other once, or home and away if Mirror fixtures in second half of season is on. When you create the season you can also choose its play day and how often rounds come round (every week up to every four weeks).
To make fixtures you need:
- a match format for each division (see Match formats), and
- at least two entrants in a division.
If more teams share a board than its start times allow, you'll be told before anything is made. You can move any fixture afterwards, and the season can't start while two matches clash on the same board.
Prefer your own fixture list? Set fixtures to be typed in under How this league is run, and add them by hand.
