Running a league Last updated 2 days ago

Friendlies

Friendlies let teams (or players, in a league of individuals) arrange matches outside the competition: a practice game, a challenge, or something to play in a free week. They're scored like any other match, but they never count towards the table or season stats.

Friendlies are on paid plans, and each league chooses whether to allow them: turn on Enable friendlies in its Settings.

Arranging one

  1. On the league's page, choose Request a friendly and propose a date, time and venue.
  2. The request shows as open on the league's friendlies list.
  3. Any other team or player in the league can accept it, first come first served. The match is booked straight away.

If you'd like to hear when someone posts a friendly you could accept, turn on friendly requests in Settings › Notifications.

Venues

A friendly books a real board, table or court, checked against the league's fixtures and other friendlies so two matches can't end up in the same place at the same time.

Playing it

A friendly plays like any fixture: line-ups, live scoring and stats. Finished friendlies show on players' and teams' profiles in a section of their own, apart from competition records.

If the plan changes

If the league owner's plan no longer includes friendlies, friendlies already arranged can still be played.
