Joining a league or cup
There are a few ways into a competition. Whichever way you come in, it shows on your dashboard and on the Leagues or Cups page.
You've been invited
Invitations to a league, cup or team are on your dashboard and on the Invitations page, where you accept or decline.
You've been sent a link, a code or a QR code
Open the link, or scan the QR code with your phone camera. It shows the competition and asks you to sign in. If you're new, create a free account and the code comes with you, so you don't need to type it in again. Even while sign-up is invite-only, a link from a competition lets you in.
Then send your request to join, with a message if you like. The organiser accepts or declines it, and you're told either way.
Entering your team
To enter a team rather than yourself, you need to be one of the people who answer for that team (its owner, a captain or secretary, or anyone the owner has given that job). Pick the team when you send the request. See Teams.
Claiming your spot in a pub cup
If an organiser typed your name in, they can show you a QR code for your spot. Scan it, sign in or make an account, and the spot is yours, along with your results so far. See Start a cup tonight.
Finding one on Discover
Discover (in the sidebar) lists leagues and cups whose organisers have chosen to be found. Filter by sport, then ask to join the one you want. A competition that isn't listed can still be joined through its link.
If you run one: List on Discover is in the league's or cup's settings, and it's off until you turn it on.
