Notifications
The app tells you about the competitions you're part of, and you choose what reaches you and where. It's all in Settings › Notifications.
The bell
The bell at the top shows your notifications: invitations, fixture changes, results waiting for you to confirm, cup draws and more. It updates as things happen, with no need to refresh. The Notifications page keeps your full history.
You're told about things other people do. When you do something yourself, you won't get a notification about it.
Choosing what you hear about
Notifications come in groups, such as cup invitations, cup scheduling, results, team membership and match reminders. Turn any group off and those notifications stop; turn it back on whenever you like. Friendlies are off until you turn them on: then you hear when someone in your league posts a friendly you could accept.
Pop-ups on your phone or computer
You can also get pop-up alerts on a device, even when the app isn't open:
- In Settings › Notifications, turn on alerts for the device you're using. Your browser will ask for permission.
- Choose which alerts pop up, grouped under Leagues, Cups, Social and Account. Most start off; a few that matter most, like your cup match being called to a board, start on.
- The same page lists your devices, so you can remove any you no longer use.
On a phone, add the app to your home screen to get pop-ups there.
Match reminders
Everyone in a fixture gets a reminder a day or two before it. It's on unless you turn it off.
Emails
We email you about your account and your competitions when it matters: invitations, results and planned downtime, for example. Marketing emails (news and offers) only come if you turn them on, and every one has a link to unsubscribe without signing in.
