Start a league
Go to Leagues and press New league (or Start a league on your dashboard). You'll be asked how you're playing it.
Weekly league
One match night a week, with a table that updates as results come in. It's all on one screen:
- Name: if another league already has the same name, that's fine. Yours keeps it and gets its own web address.
- Who's in? Choose Players or Teams, then add them. On the Free plan players join with the league's link instead: start the league, then share the link from the next page. Typing players' names in works in leagues on paid plans.
- Play each other: Once, or Home and away.
- Game: the game you play and how long a match is.
Press Start the league. The fixtures are made and dated, and you can move any of them from the league's schedule.
Tonight
Everyone plays everyone in one session, with a live table, and whoever tops it wins. This opens the same one-screen setup as a quick cup, ready for Everyone plays everyone; see Start a cup tonight.
More options
More options is a short step-by-step setup: name, sport, format, players (paste a list, find people with accounts, or add teams with their players), then a review. On the last step choose:
- Start the season now: the league opens straight away. You can still change fixtures afterwards.
- Set it up, start it later: the season is built as a draft and nobody is told yet. Change anything in the admin panel, then press Start the season when you're ready.
Every setting yourself
Advanced setup (or configure everything yourself) opens the full form with every league setting. See Running a league.
What's set up for you
Whichever way you start, the league gets a match format for its sport, the standard stats for that sport, a join link and code to share, and an admin panel (the League admin button) where everything can be changed later.
